Shop Sandals ↗Map where every strap sits
Use the product images to see where straps cross the toes, instep and ankle. A strap that looks minimal can still carry much of the load, so compare its width and position with sandals you already know are comfortable.
Check the footbed outline
Look at the shape from directly above when that image is available. The widest part of the foot should sit within the footbed rather than over the edge, and the toe shape should leave enough room for your natural stance.
Balance heel height with stability
Heel width, pitch and the contact area under the forefoot all affect how a sandal feels in use. Choose for the surfaces and duration you expect, not only for the way the heel appears in a front-facing image.
Compare current size options
Sizing can vary between suppliers and constructions. Review the listed options and any available measurements, then compare them with a similar pair rather than relying on your usual size number alone.
